Rice cereal and prunes

Preston and I have decided that we are going to start feeding Logan baby food a little at a time. We have heard that you can start your baby on baby food around 4-6 months, however, we've also heard that you should wait until they are closer to 6 months to reduce the risk of them developing allergies. The pediatrician did give us the go-ahead though so we decided to start giving him rice cereal once or twice a week to try to get him used to it and then as he gets older and closer to 6 months we will increase the frequency. So earlier this week I tried to give him a little rice cereal and he DID NOT like it so his pediatrician told me that we could try to add a little something in with it like prunes. A couple days later we were going to try again so we added some prunes and that did the trick. He went to town! Needless to say it was pretty funny to watch. Preston was feeding him and he was a mess! He discovered that if he took a bite and then stuck his thumb in his mouth he would swallow it better so after every bite logan would shove his hands in his mouth and then we were done feeding him and hadn't cleaned him up yet, he kept putting his fingers in there because they tasted so sweet. So now it is our thing to give him rice cereal and prunes twice a week and then slowly as he gets older we will mix it up with apples, bananas, string beans, avocado, etc. and expand his edible horizons. Anyway, here are pictures.

So, I realize I have a lot of catching up to do on our blog and that I am not very good at this at all. However, I am doing it now and I caution those who are prone to "ooo's and ahhh's" because this post will contain a lot of such materials.
Logan is now 4 1/2 months old! I can't believe how fast time has flown. He is now able to sit with support and roll over, he is the major thumb sucker, and he loves loves LOVES to take baths. His new favorite game is to lay on the ground and just yell, yell at me, yell at the ceiling fan, just yell to yell. It's adorable. He also adores his daddy. He could be grumpy grumpy but when daddy walks in its all smiles. I love it. I can't really put how precious he is into words or how much I love him so I will just put pictures on because they really do say it all.

All the toys and excitement pooped him right out at christmas!

New Years Eve... Mmm Apple Cider :)

I love him more..

He's playing in one of his favorite toys, he looks like such a big boy :)

"I'm holding my own bottle!"

When Logan learned how to roll onto his tummy in his crib, this became his new favorite sleeping position. So cute :)

Being a big boy sitting in his own chair holding his favorite toy truck.

The smile I LOVE, just like his daddy's.
Logan and Preston have matching shoes and when I was taking pictures of it I snapped this cute one too.
